Yes, they are both used to it now but strangely still have to steel themselves beforehand. Odd thing is that Bonnie, the girl, who I thought would be too scared to use it was the first to do so and is far more confident than her brother Clyde. She has found It especially useful for running away from builders who have been here fitting a new bathroom recently. Staywell medium aluminium dog flap in uPVC door for Jack Russell Sky
She wouldn’t go near it at all yesterday as probably a lot of disturbance. So I left it for then. This morning I opened it and she went out. She will get used to it, her other one was more see through, so she will just need time. 13 December 2018 Just an update, couldn’t get Sky to use the dog flap for ages, until a couple of weeks ago I put the rabbit through it then she was out like a shot !! SureFlap in wall for Tabitha Just wanted to say thank you for fitting our cat flap yesterday. We are really thrilled with it – Tabitha went in and out 3 times this morning before I went to work so I think it’s safe to say we are up and running! Thank you for tidying everything up as well, you wouldn’t know you had been there! At the moment we still have the external flap taped up, but we’ll bring it down in a day or two when we can see she’s got the hang of it! She seems to be getting there – a little hesitant sometimes but she is definitely making her own way in and out. 22 November 2018 We are giving her another few days with outer flap taped up – she still gets a bit confused sometimes (she is a bear of very little brain). Going well for the 2 black cats. Although they are reluctant and waiting to see if someone will open the door. The black and white one has used it but strangely only seems to want to go out at night and spends the rest of the day inside hiding in the bath tub! I’m putting the litter outside so he knows he has to go out if he needs it but he appears to be holding on! It wasn’t helped by the lion cat (if you remember) appearing upstairs in one of the room because Lee opened both ends of the cat flap on the second day to encourage them to use it. SureFlap in uPVC front door for cats JoJo & Orlando
The flap is working beautifully with one small problem. JoJo is a Prince and has always preferred to have the door opened for him rather than do the work himself, although he has always come through when necessary. At the moment, he happily uses the flap to go out but when he starts to come in, the tiny click puts him off. Orlando is just fine with it, back and forth as it suits him. 8 April 2017 Just wanted to let you know that both cats are now coming and going easily, with no unwanted visitors.
